Together with Autogroep Ursem Barten, we were among the pioneers in implementing a solar energy system consisting of recycled battery cells from Mitsubishi electric vehicles.
The goal of this concept was to demonstrate that lithium battery cells from EVs could be repurposed and given a second life as a battery storage system.
Solartechno was already involved in the design phase in the development of the new building and showroom for Autogroep Ursem Barten in Purmerend, the Netherlands. A year and a half later, the construction was completed, featuring 375x Sharp solar panels on the roof and a dedicated room housing a 50 kWh battery storage system equipped with Victron Energy inverters and chargers.
