For half of the year, the battery storage system ensures self-sufficiency in power supply. Since the system also serves as a backup power source, the battery is configured to always maintain at least 30% capacity.
This small-scale battery storage system was installed in a residential home. The homeowner wanted to reduce dependence on the energy supplier and maximize the use of self-generated solar energy.
For this purpose, a 25 kWh battery storage system was implemented, allowing the household to operate completely off-grid from mid-March to mid-September, eliminating the need to purchase electricity from the supplier.
Due to the positive performance of the system, the homeowner decided to expand storage capacity to 30 kWh and install 3x 3 kW inverters. The batteries were placed in an outdoor cabinet, while the inverters were positioned inside the barn.
